Laurel Dorn
"What makes you different can feel like a burden at times, but it isn't. Most of the time, it's what makes you beautiful."
At the age of six, Laurel Dorn started her dance journey training in tap, jazz, and ballet. Later on, she chose to focus on ballet, leading her to train with The School of Carolina Ballet. Laurel is starting her first year as a Corps de Ballet member with Carolina Ballet in their 2021/2022 Season. Outside of ballet, Laurel loves all things creative including photography, makeup, and art.
Laurel has been wearing PerfectFits for over a year, and doesn’t know how she ever danced without them! During her years of training on pointe, she struggled with finding the right amount of padding which led to lots of toe soreness, twisting pointe shoes, and blisters. PerfectFits eliminated these problems. The custom-made padding helps her to more confidently dance without pain. PerfectFits have been a game-changer for Laurel.
A motto Laurel lives by is embracing the beauty of what makes you unique. What makes you different can feel like a burden at times, but it isn't. Most of the time, it's what makes you beautiful. Laurel’s proudest moments as a dancer are when she allowed herself to be confident in the most unique parts of herself.
