Destiny Wimpye

“I really think that passion plus discipline is the key to a lot of things in life.”

Destiny started dancing competitively at the age of five in Conyers, Georgia. She moved to Los Angeles to train at the Debbie Allen Dance Academy from ages nine to thirteen. Destiny decided she wanted to focus on strictly ballet and started dancing with the Colburn Dance Academy for three years. In the fall, she will be joining the PD program at Pacific Northwest Ballet!

Destiny started wearing PerfectFit after a seminar at Pacific Northwest Ballet’s summer course in 2018. PerfectFit has helped her feel more confident in her pointe work and has helped with the bunions and blisters. “I feel that this product can really help change a lot of dancers lives!! I like advocating for a product that can help dancers feel good about themselves and their dancing. I know that when I started wearing PerfectFit, I felt and saw a difference in my dancing and in my pointe work.”

When we asked Destiny to describe her dance journey in the form of a metaphor, she said that “it’s been like a staircase because each step you take in your journey brings you closer and closer to your goal. When you love what you do, you will have no problem continuing to work hard for what you want.”
